Lead-lined wood and steel doors

A-fabco manufactures lead doors for medical and industrial shielding, and for sound abatement. Wood or metal, complete with lead up to 1/2″, in an almost infinite variety of finishes: hardwood veneers, high-pressure laminate skins, and pre-machining to meet your spec. Non-fire-rated doors carry up to 1/2″ of lead. Fire-rated doors carry up to 1/4″ with labels to 60 minutes.

Leaded door frames

Single and double rabbeted door frames in welded or knock-down configurations, prepped for any hardware configuration the architect specifies. Fire labels to 90 minutes are available. We fabricate standard-throat control room view window frames and telescopic two-piece frames as well, and non-standard or custom sizes on request. Because we build the frames here, custom sizes do not cost you turnaround time.

We can supply most common lead-lined door hardware from stock, or we will lead-line your hardware if you prefer. The pieces below are the ones we hand out most often.

Acoustical and sound doors

Our custom door shop builds sound doors from hardwood laminates and other materials so they are both beautiful and functional. Two levels of protection: STC-41 or STC-43, with or without sound-suppression glass, and all sound seals included. Choose heavy-duty ball-bearing hinges or the superior continuous hinge for years of trouble-free operation, and pick from a wide range of plastic laminates or real wood veneers you can stain on site to match the room.
