Control walls and stationary barriers
In many X-ray rooms, stationary or mobile barriers are required to protect the nurses, physicians, and technologists who have to be in the room while the beam is energized. To save space and allow relocation, ours are pre-made and usually include a window for watching the patient or the equipment. Any size, with glass or acrylic protective windows, in aluminum or stainless framing, or all shielded plastic laminate, to meet any budget.
Many installations now use pre-made operator control walls that are factory built and shipped completely assembled, ready for attachment. Rarely thicker than 2″, they save floor space and spare you the trauma of framing a wall inside a finished X-ray room. Segments ship assembled for rapid on-site installation; the upper window and the lower opaque barrier are generally framed in 14-gauge stainless steel, and we match any color you want.
Mobile acrylic barriers
Mobile protective barriers with full 1.0 mm lead shielding to 80″ high. The lower opaque section is plastic laminate in beige or grey. Stainless steel outriggers carry four lockable swivel casters. Widths vary with your requirement.
