Product catalog
Since 1970 our product line has been dictated by need and by the suggestions of the people who use it. The catalog is a collection of those items, plus a few of our own ideas. We do not try to steer you toward any product; we have found most users do not think alike, which is exactly why the line is so varied. Download the catalog (PDF).
Submittal drawings
Shop drawings and submittal packages for your GC and physicist to sign off before any steel is cut.
Project-specific submittals are produced for every door, frame, and window package we quote. Ask your project manager.

Sizing guides
- Sizing your X-ray view window: how high, how low, how wide, and the NRC 18″ rule.
- Lead glass characteristics and stock sizes: PbO content, density, the stock size grid, and cleaning.
- The frame formula: glass + 4-1/4″ for a one-piece frame, glass + 1/2″ rough opening for telescopic.
- Lead-lined drywall specification: Type X, 2 lb to 8 lb, lengths, battens, and screw discs.
- When sheet stops and brick starts: the 3/4″ and 1″ thresholds.
Standards we build to
- Fed. Spec. QQ-L-201F, Grade C: 99.9% pure shielding lead, in everything we laminate, line, and stack.
- NCRP Report 147: the structural shielding design reference for medical X-ray imaging facilities; it governs, among other things, whether lead screw-cover discs are required.
- NRC guidance: X-ray cabinets designed to NRC codes; view windows placed to the 18″ control-wall recommendation.
- Your physicist’s report: the document every one of our products is actually built to.
